General:
We bake our cookies to order from scratch, no sitting around in a display case or on a shelf, and no added preservatives. All cookies are hand decorated in your choice of design and color. We recently found a product that is designed to be added to bakery products to keep them fresh for up to 60 days! This product is sold to large retail bakeries. We do not use such products!
Allergy note: We are unable to cater to persons with food allergies. Our cookies are baked in a kitchen which contains, and on equipment which comes into contact with, peanut butter and other food allergens. Our cookies contain dairy, eggs, and wheat. If you have concerns about a specific ingredient, please contact us with your questions.
Pricing:
A baker friend in another state has a great quote on her website: "You won't find grocery store bakery pricing on this page, but then you won't find these in a grocery store bakery either!" Our thoughts exactly.
Cookies:
Each cookie is hand decorated to your specifications; size, color, and personalization; minimum order of 12 cookies of up to two designs please. Cookies range from 2" to 5" and generally start at $2.00 each, depending upon size and complexity of design. Please visit the Cookie Gallery for the price of each cookie. After the first dozen of decorated cookies, 3" round, single-color iced cookies may be added to your order for $8 per dozen. This is a great way to fill up a tray or box on a budget.
Each cookie is individually packaged in a clear bag with decorative curling ribbon to match at no extra charge, unwrapped on a tray ($8 charge per tray), or unwrapped in a bakery box (no extra charge). A custom one-sided tag can also be added at $0.15 per cookie to individually bagged cookies (black print, approximately 3 lines of text). Fabric ribbon can be used instead of curling ribbon for a charge of $0.25 per cookie.
Cookies are also available by the basket. Individually wrapped cookies placed in a basket wrapped with a colorful ribbon, they are ready for gift giving! Please add $5 to your order for this option.
Edible image cookies are here! Our delicious vanilla sugar cookie topped with your business logo, message, or picture on either rectangle ($3 each, order in multiples of 10) or round cookies ($2.50 each, order in multiples of 12). Images will be cropped to fit as best as possible onto the edible sheets printed with edible ink, then frosted onto the cookie with your choice of either coordinating sprinkles or a shell border at no additional charge. The quality of the image depends on the quality of the photo or image you send to us.
Ordering:
We require at least 5 days to create your custom cookies, longer if the order is for 4 or more dozen or a custom cookie cutter needs to be made, and please allow at least 2 weeks for edible image cookies (more time for large orders). Please contact us for availability on a rush basis; rush fee may apply.
Deposits:
We require a 50% deposit on all orders, with the remainder due 7 days before delivery; less than 7 days before delivery requires payment in full at time of order. No exceptions! Your order is not considered "on the books" without payment in full. If you pay a deposit by check, it must clear before we can begin working on your order. Deposit is nonrefundable after we begin baking. Please place deposits well in advance of your event to reserve the date, as we limit our orders to just a few a week, depending on size of order, to ensure that your cookies and cakes get the attention they deserve!
Delivery:
Due to city regulation regarding home businesses, all orders will be delivered, either to your location or a designated meeting area. Delivery is available at no charge on a limited basis locally (Cuyahoga Falls, Peninsula, Hudson, Stow, Boston Heights, Fairlawn, Richfield and other locales at our discretion). Special delivery beyond those areas is available for an additional charge of $.50 per mile based on Google Maps from our location to your's. Please take into consideration of weather conditions and location of set-up table as we cannot be responsible for the actions of others and natural causes (i.e. humidity in a non-air conditioned locale) after delivery is complete. Wedding favor cookies delivered at no charge (Akron/Cleveland area only and at the discretion of SHC). Please note that we operate under the Ohio Department of Agriculture Cottage Food Laws which require that we only sell within the state of Ohio. Thank you for your understanding on this matter.
If you are having your event at a reception hall, restaurant, or party center, please check with the manager as to their rules and regulations about bringing in desserts from an Ohio Cottage Foods Bakery.
Payment:
Cash, check, or you may use PayPal for payment via credit card. If you pay by check, it must clear before we can begin baking for your order. Please discuss all details with us before ordering as no returns or refunds can be given for edible items.
